Where it all began
A simple idea brewed: serve amazing coffee with a smile. We launched a crowdfunder for £2,500… and you backed us in just 24 hours. Final total? £4,000! The dream was officially on.
First Pour
We flung open the doors to Atrium Coffee, pouring our first shots and welcoming the very first members of our growing family.
The return to the office
With people finally drifting back to the office post-COVID, we became the spot for catch-ups, caffeine fixes, and new routines. Our shop, and our community, really started to grow.
Brewing champions
Nat teamed up with Claudia for the UK Barista League Championships… and they won first place! Prize: a coffee pilgrimage to Colombia, meeting legendary producers and soaking up inspiration.
Growing the family
February:
Welcomed our first team member.
March:
Nat headed to Colombia, spending a week with other champions and meeting innovative coffee producer Wilton Benitez.
April:
Our second team member joined — the Atrium family was expanding fast.
Coffee across the world
Nat jetted off to Athens for the World of Coffee Expo, working alongside Wilton Benitez and Johnny Martinez.
Made friends with coffee legends from across the globe — all while back home, Manchester kept buzzing with tastings, events, and new flavour discoveries.
Levelling up
May: We switched our house espresso to Swansong Coffee Roasters, taking our brews up a notch.
June: Nat hit World of Coffee in Copenhagen, where the spark for Manchester Slurp Fest was lit.
Slurp fest!
We threw the first-ever Manchester Slurp Fest — a community-first coffee festival, celebrating all things coffee, connection, and curiosity.
Roasting into the future
This year, Atrium is booming: more sales, more regulars, more of the good stuff.
We're taking the next big leap: launching our own roastery!
With friends we've met along the way, we're roasting the tastiest, most ethical beans we can find.
The future? Bright, bold, and full of flavour. Watch this space.
